The Economist comments on free on line porn, sex for losers

Why attempt to be a socially adept and accepted member of the human race, when you can order up your sexual fantasies and even find some new perversions you hadn’t considered with a mouse click or a key stroke?

Like most lefty rags, The Economist can’t decide if making sex into a recreational item available in fantasy form from a menu is healthy.

They don’t understand how making women or children into sex objects is going to screw up the perves?

I’ll accept that non judgmentalism is now the norm in these post modern days–who’s to judge people who live to have sex with their computer? Long the live High Holy Church of Anything Goes.

  1. Men have turned to porn because women have sexual freedom. In a healthy patriarchal society, just about all the men can find wives in early adulthood, and they can at least have sex regularly with these women, though perhaps not as often as they want.

When you give women sexual freedom, however, women wind up rejecting more and more of the male population because women find these men “boring.” But that just shows women’s emotional immaturity and bad judgment; it doesn’t indicate serious deficiencies in most men. We see a growing population of adult male virgins and male incels for precisely for this reason, and they form a lot of the porn-consuming population.

This trend has advanced so far in Japan, a country which has a funny way of living “20 minutes into the future,” that reportedly a quarter of unmarried Japanese men in their 30’s have had no sexual experience, despite Japan’s liberal attitudes towards sex. No theorist of the sexual revolution that I know of predicted that anything of the sort would happen when you liberated women sexually.

  2. What’s a male incel?

  3. I believe alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling etc are all part of Stalin’s plan to take totalitarian control of the world after uniting nations on 24 Oct 1945

  4. And the people selling robots want you to sign a document that swears you will not use it for sex.

(Don’t think about tasty chocolate! Don’t think about it!)

  5. In my experience, the people who are most upset by porno in all its endless variety are:

-People of both sexes with a fear of their own cravings, and

-Women, usually unattractive and/or insecure and/or with unpleasant personalities, who are upset that porn raises the bar on them.

People like Andrea Dworkin and some woman anit-porn crusader named Mckenney I think – spelling is wrong – would be two exemplars of the latter. The former because…well just look at her. The latter because her husband divorced her middle-aged (and overly religious) self for someone younger and hotter and, presumably, more sexually available and pleasant to be around.

These are the same people who used to rail on about prostitution and brothels, the Anthony Comstocks and “Decent Women” with their mental disorders and insecurities. Nothing has changed.

    Just a thought.
