Bio tech, genomics, cancer research–all not much bang for the buck

We still don’t know cancer very well, what we can do with the genome is very limited.

This essay discusses how money for research in Biotech is not paying for much output.

There is some truth to the observation that more money doesn’t always produce more benefits. The budget for the NIH is at 30 billion a year and they complain it’s not enough?

  1. So I guess, from reading this article, that it is Newt Gingrich and other Republican congressmen who are responsible for the mess that is NIH. That sounds like a load of crap. Who is this person?

  2. Looked it up, its from PJ Media web site, reliably conservative, ahd if she criticized the Republicans, she’s with me–Orin Hatch, Grassley, and some others promote research funding to excess.

Wanna get a earful on wasteful and negligent research read Tom Bethell on cancer research–a big boondoggle.

The NIH has a budget of 30 billion–and we wonder why we get outspent by the left whenever we take on their science.
