Save bee lives by keeping them off the road?

Despite activists claims about pesticides killing bees, traffic accidents could be significant contributor. From Science 2.0, Bees: Activists Remain Silent While This Pollinator Killer Decimates Millions

Bees are transported for pollination.  A hive has about 50,000 bees, so the loss of a hive is a lot of bees.  A highway incident killed 20 million. Maybe there is something behind the activist’s claims and high drama than bee deaths.

  1. Every credible study points to parasites as the main reason for the decline in bees. However, in your yard, garden, do not use systemic pesticides on flowering plants. Stop using contact insecticides a few days prior to blooming and wait until blooms have dried up before resuming.
