Bees on the comeback trail while panicky enviros left flapping about a crisis

A lesson in markets, the nonsense of panicmongering from the left and the crisis that went away.

In the meantime too many anxious politicians blamed pesticides–when there were other better explanations. Like disease and bee keeper managment practices that produced stress.

I have repeatedly said that there was a false crisis enviro scaremongering thing going on about colony collapse disorder. Now the recovery proves that bees aren’t going to go away. They are valuable for honey, but more important for pollination, essential for fruit trees and other plant species that need pollinators.

  1. And again; Reality is nasty, isn’t it?

  2. I am a bee keeper in Mi. I loss bee’s every year and most of the bee keepers I know lose a good % of their bee’s as well. pesticides kill insects and bee’s are insects.

  3. One can find US honey production on the USDA website. Production in 2014 was the highest since 2007.
