  1. Of course this is the land of fruit and nuts, and they will drown from global warming raising the oceans, but still find billions to build high speed rail to nowhere from nowhere. Now if they just built a few desalinazation plants, or let the little smelt have a few less gallons.

  2. @Bob–
Just when you think it can’t get any worse…

The Golden State would have been infinitely better off had Pat Brown never been born. The Brown family dynasty in Cali is the worst in this country–all time, bar none.

It takes an amazing (Satanic?) talent to convert Paradise to Hell in 50 years.

But then, how far back do we need to go? Pat Brown would never have become governor had William Knowland and Goodwin Knight not given him the office in 1958, in one of the dumbest campaigns ever—a precursor to dumb Republican campaigns.

For those keeping score at home, Knowland was one of the Republicans who piled on Joe McCarthy in 1954. He only became senator because he was appointed to fill the seat of the dead Hiram Johnson. Thanks, Earl Warren!! Unlike many RINOs, Knowland started off being a real conservative. Go figure.

Billy Knowland committed suicide a bit too late, I guess.

The stupid party and the evil party…indeed.

  3. When I was in high school in San Francisco, our home was near that of the Pat Brown family. I would sometimes see little Jerry in this back yard. If I could have known what a carbuncle on the a$$ of society he turned out, I would have considered doing him in.
