The recovery? What kind of recovery

I think Mr. Gelinas starts from a bad place–he thinks the economy has grown and then admits that employment is at 2008 levels.

I say that there is a lot happening that is not good and presages a dark future. He agrees sometimes.

    Growth is associated with declining unemployment rates, but can happen with non-falling unemployment rates, as when productivity is strong. It’s machines replacing labor in production.
